Voltage and current propagation on transmission lines is highly influenced by the line termination. If some conductors are periodically grounded, the computation of the matching termination impedance is not trivial and its incorrect modeling may affect the voltage and current computation. In this paper we propose a procedure to correctly evaluate the termination impedance matrix of a multiconductor transmission line. Then we compute the voltages and currents, due to a lightning pulse, in order to discuss the effect that the termination has on the propagation.

Abstract
Voltage and current propagation on transmission lines is highly influenced by the line termination. If some conductors are periodically grounded, the computation of the matching termination impedance is not trivial and its incorrect modeling may affect the voltage and current computation. In this paper we propose a procedure to correctly evaluate the termination impedance matrix of a multiconductor transmission line. Then we compute the voltages and currents, due to a lightning pulse, in order to discuss the effect that the termination has on the propagation.File in questo prodotto:
