This paper deals with the evaluation of the shielding effect due to the induced current on a thin PEC strip, illuminated by a current line source. The extremely low frequency (ELF) solution is analytically determined, whereas the dynamic case is reformulated in terms of a rapidly convergent Neumann series. The convergence in the case of proximity of the current line can be improved by means of an incremental formulation with respect to the ELF case.

Abstract
This paper deals with the evaluation of the shielding effect due to the induced current on a thin PEC strip, illuminated by a current line source. The extremely low frequency (ELF) solution is analytically determined, whereas the dynamic case is reformulated in terms of a rapidly convergent Neumann series. The convergence in the case of proximity of the current line can be improved by means of an incremental formulation with respect to the ELF case.File in questo prodotto:
