Mashreq Monarchies Role in the Mediterranean Sea. The evolution of the role of Qatar in the Mediterranean crises

The first part regards the Jordanian management of the migration flows, with a focus on its implications on the local (the impacts on the country’s national identity), regional (the neighboring countries’ response to the Jordanian policy) and international dimensions (mapping the Mediterranean crisis: the role of Jordan and its strategy’s wider outcomes). The second section analyzes Qatar’s role in the crises on the southern shores of the Mediterranean, with a critical review of the evolution of Doha’s degrees of interference between 1995 and 2017. A focus has been placed on the Libyan crisis and the involvement of two blocks of the Gulf Cooperation Council (Qatar on one side, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates and Bahrain on the other).
