A report on the Workshop "Computational Mechanics of Generalized Continua and Applications to Materials with Microstructure" (Catania 29- 31/03/2015) is provided. The constructive atmosphere that was present at the workshop [26] in 2012 and at the Euromech Colloquium [97] in 2014 both in Cisterna di Latina has also characterized the reported days in Catania. Objective of this meeting was to bring together experts within the CNRS International Associate Laboratory (LIA) Francois Cosserat-Tullio Levi Civita Coss & Vita in order to discuss topics of common interest. In particular, this workshop was dedicated more precisely to the following projects of the LIA: (i) Computational mechanics of generalized continua (COMECH) and (ii) Non-linearity and Stability in Continuous Media (NLS). Besides, also subjects related to application of generalized continua to multiscale and smart materials has been discussed. About 25 Coss&Vita LIA members and other experts have been gathered, mostly from France and Italy and including PhD students and those students from the Scuola Superiore di Catania.

Abstract
About 25 Coss&Vita LIA members and other experts have been gathered, mostly from France and Italy and including PhD students and those students from the Scuola Superiore di Catania.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
