The aim of this work is to contribute to the understanding of the dynamics produced by the variability of demand in a kanban cell, and influencing decision-makers within manufacturing strategies. In particular, in this study it was taken out of production context a single kanban cell, for which typically a production unit acts as a supplier and an assembly unit acts as a customer. For this cell a Virtual Kanban Strategy has been proposed and evaluated using a system dynamics simulation software.

Abstract
The aim of this work is to contribute to the understanding of the dynamics produced by the variability of demand in a kanban cell, and influencing decision-makers within manufacturing strategies. In particular, in this study it was taken out of production context a single kanban cell, for which typically a production unit acts as a supplier and an assembly unit acts as a customer. For this cell a Virtual Kanban Strategy has been proposed and evaluated using a system dynamics simulation software.File in questo prodotto:
