While any form of expression stimulates a specific cognitive area of the human psychic sphere, the graphic image activates their as a multiplicity. Music, theatre or cinematography fully stimulate the emotional, but not completely, the rational sphere. The observation of a static image is configure as an action that also activates the rational sphere by developing the feeling of control while listening or watching dynamic images leads to a passive perception, stimulating the sense of sharing and emotionality. The static image, and in particular the drawing, ultimately stimulates both the emotional perceptual sphere and, to the same degree, the rational cognitive sphere. An image has the capacity to arouse, in unison, happiness, intellectual interest, knowledge, amazement or, simply, diametrically opposed emotions.
Tra gli strumenti della comunicazione il disegno ha il potere di sintetizzare emozioni di natura diversa. Mentre qualsiasi forma di espressione stimola un ambito cognitivo specifico, il disegno ne attiva la molteplicità. Musica, teatro o cinema agiscono sull’ambito emotivo più che su quello razionale; l’osservazione di immagini statiche attiva la sfera cognitiva, stimolando comprensione e controllo, mentre la fruizione di immagini dinamiche induce ad una percezione passiva, stimolando il senso della condivisione ed emotività. Il disegno crea connessioni sia con la sfera emotiva che razionale. Un’immagine ha la capacità di suscitare felicità, stupore, interesse intellettuale, o, semplicemente, emozioni diametralmente opposte.
