APPROCCI DIVERSIFICATI DI RILIEVO PER UNA LETTURA COMPARATA DELL'AREA DEL GHETTO EBRAICO DI ROMA

This paper, part of a larger research of the Faculty of Engineering in the International Telematic University, aims to document the relevance of the Rome Jewish Ghetto, a place full of peculiarities reminding of the ancient memory of epoch-making layers, investigating, through the survey as the main instrument of knowledge, the tangible memories of the historical layers, recognizable in the residual urban plant and in the morphological characteristics of the architectural heritage. For this aim, the analysis of the site cannot transcend the contemporary condition of the historic site, transformed through a complex iter between its own essence and the new modernity needs. In this context, the "facades", the sequence of the documentary urban fronts, represent and document the perceptual image of the place, by configuring the reading of identity of the site investigated.

Questo contributo, parte di una ricerca più ampia in corso presso la facoltà di Ingegneria della Università Telematica Internazionale UNINETTUNO, si propone di documentare la attualità del Ghetto ebraico di Roma, luogo pregno di peculiarità restituenti la memoria antica delle stratificazioni epocali, indagando, attraverso il rilievo come principale strumento di conoscenza, le memorie tangibili delle stratificazioni, riconoscibili nell‟impianto urbano residuale e nei caratteri morfologici del patrimonio architettonico. A tal fine, l‟analisi del sito non può trascendere da quella che è la condizione contemporanea del luogo storico, trasformatosi attraverso un complesso percorso tra la preservazione della propria essenza e le nuove esigenze della contemporaneità. In tale ambito le “facciate”, sequenza documentale dei fronti urbani, rappresentano e documentano l‟immagine percettiva del luogo, configurando la lettura identitaria del sito indagato.
